The guidelines for listening and responding
Vivaldi was a an 18th century Italian composer.
One of his most famous works is The Four Seasons . This work consists of four concertos - each dedicated to a different season.
Today we will listen to Spring . This particular concerto is divided into three movements or parts.
Movement 1 - listen out for the birds singing, murmuring streams, thunderstorms.....
Movement 2-shepherd’s dog snoring , bagpipes
Movement 3 -nymphs and shepherds dancing
Tips to help you get the most from the Spring.
First listening - close your eyes . Can you hear the birds ? Snoring? Thunder ? .......
Second listening - watch the video presentation ..... take note of the musical signposts slipping in from the left .
Third listening
